Bandra Kurla is an important commercial hub in the city of Mumbai. It is an important region in Mumbai from an economic point of view. Mumbai Suburban Guardian Minister and BJP Mumbai leader Ashish Shelar has ordered the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) to submit a report on why the alignment of the Bandra Kurla Line was cancelled.

Considering the traffic problems in the Bandra Kurla area, the Bandra Kurla Railway Line project was proposed to solve the traffic congestion that would arise in the future, and the alignment for this was also prepared. But Ashish Shelar has ordered an investigation into the feasibility of this proposed project, which was cancelled and never materialized. In 2010, the MMRDA had invited objections to the proposal to cancel the alignment. Citizens objected to this, but the Bandra Kurla area was soon connected to the Andheri West Metro Line 2B.It was stated that there was no need to carry out the proposed rail project and why was it cancelled in 2011?
Order to submit a report on why the alignment of Bandra Kurla Road was cancelled
The MMRDA has cancelled the proposed line, saying that the Andheri West Metro 2B will be connected to the Bandra Kurla line and that there is no need to create a separate line for this. But just like the Metro 2B work is currently in progress, this work is also going on at a fast pace, but there is no route connecting the Bandra-Kurla area. Therefore, RTI activist Anil Galgali has alleged that this is a fraud committed by MMRDA on Mumbaikar. Just as the existing metro network in the city is expanding rapidly, work on Metro 2 is also underway, but there is no mention of this line or any line connecting these two areas.Metro work is currently underway at various places in the city, and metro work is also underway at a rapid pace in Andheri West. The government is currently planning various measures to reduce traffic congestion in the city by improving its connectivity.
Right to Information activist Anil Galgali had alleged that the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) had cheated the state government by cancelling the alignment of this proposed route and the state government had taken note of this and also sought a report, but it is also being said that there was an attempt to suppress this matter by not making this report public.but Anil Galgali’s continuous efforts have failed and Ashish Shelar has ordered the submission of a report in this regard.
Mumbai Suburban Guardian Minister Ashish Shelar held a meeting with the Mumbai District Collector, MMRDA, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, Railway Administration, Police Administration, and Transport Administration on Friday. In this meeting, information and rights activist Anil Galgali demanded that the proposed corridor be reconstructed. Ashish Shelar also ordered an inquiry into why this corridor was not connected and its feasibility.Taking serious note of this entire matter, they have also sought a report from MMRD regarding the same as why the proposed alignment was cancelled. He also asserted that canceling the proposed alignment work is a fraud on the citizens.
Bandra, Kurla, Dadar, Ghatkopar are congested areas in Mumbai city. Thousands of people travel in these areas every day, so citizens often have to face various traffic problems. In such a situation, efforts should be made to complete the proposed route as soon as possible to eliminate the problem of excessive traffic congestion in the future.Anil Galgali also demanded that this railway route, which was canceled in 2011, be restructured once again. In a meeting held on Friday, Ashish Shelar ordered MMRDA to submit a report at the earliest.
