This entire gang commits these thefts without any prior knowledge. Initially, they steal trucks, take them to Gujarat, and with the help of a local mechanic in Gujarat, change the original engine and chassis number of the truck. And for each of these trucks, they would give a local mechanic a term of fifty thousand rupees and then sell these trucks with changed numbers to the local people at the lowest price. Also, after changing the identity, one had to get a fake registration done from the local Regional Transport Office (RTO) and also complete the necessary documents.

These trucks, which were registered with the Regional Transport Office (RTO), were then sold to the gullible public at a low price on the basis of fake documents. As a result, people did not have any suspicion about this because of the documents, so this gang had already bought and sold many heavy vehicles in the past. In this operation conducted by the Vanrai police, they also seized stolen trucks worth Rs. 1.8 crore.Senior Inspector Girish Bane of Vanrai Police Station said that a special team took action in this case. The team included police inspectors Ranjit Wanve and Abhijit Bhise. This special team carried out this operation under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner of Police Zone 12 Mahesh Chimte and Inspector Subhash Chandra Bose Ture.
