Mumbai BJP MLA and local leader Mihir Kotey had also made a proposal in this regard to Mumbai Municipal Corporation Commissioner Bhushan Gagrani.As per this proposal, efforts will now be made to build the Mulund Golf Course in this area.As per the proposal made by local MLA Mihir Kote, he has expressed optimism that the proposed Mulund Golf Course will contribute to the economic development of the area and provide various employment opportunities in the area.

Considering this, the Mumbai Municipal Corporation has given this land to the Professional Golf Tour of India for survey and study.Through this, a survey of the site will be conducted and a report will also be submitted. The approval process for this was completed on Wednesday, which has given a boost to the work of the Mulund Golf Course.Biomining work has been underway at this 60-acre dumping ground in Mumbai since 2019, and out of the 7.8 million tons of waste, 5.8 million tons have been processed.This dumping ground will then be used for the Mulund Golf Course and related uses.

Thackeray group leader and North East Mumbai MP Sanjay Dina Patil on Thursday expressed his opposition to the Mulund Golf Course being built in Mulund, Mumbai city.On Thursday, the party also held a demonstration in the area. They have demanded that a well-equipped hospital, sports complex, school and college be built in the area of ​​this dumping ground.He also expressed the opinion that the proposed golf course would only benefit the wealthy people in the area and not the general public.This golf course is being used only to pamper the rich, which will leave the health care and other problems in the area as they are.This time, Shiv Sena leaders also expressed their opinion that the issue of healthcare should also be addressed.

The Mumbai Municipal Corporation elections, as well as other municipal elections in Maharashtra, will also be held in the near future.Therefore, the Municipal Corporation has started implementing various works before the election code of conduct comes into effect, and accordingly, the decision regarding the dumping ground in Mulund has been taken.The land will be examined by PGTI and a report will also be submitted.The municipal corporation has also imposed a condition that the organization itself will have to dispose of the waste generated during this process.After the report prepared by this organization, the Municipal Corporation will take the final decision on whether to build a Mulund Golf Course or a hospital in this area.
